Justin joined NEXEA as the Investment Principal in 2022 and works with early-stage startups, bringing them from ideation to growth.

Starting his career at CIMB as a management trainee and then as an associate in credit risk, he has hands-on experience with the financial crisis of 2007 - 2008. The exposure built a strong appreciation of how complex systems work and where opportunities are in crises.

In 2011, Justin became an Associate Director in credit trading, managing a G7-denominated global trading book whilst building CIMB’s retail bond franchise. He was voted The Asset's Most Astute Investor for Asian G3 bonds (Malaysia) between 2016 - 2018 and led the business development for CIMB’s Indonesia retail bond franchise, introducing innovations in the distribution process.

Since 2018, he has been angel investing and has a wide variety of interests. As a generalist, he can quickly understand and advise startups on various matters, be it fundraising, strategy or products.
